when I read this post, I paused for a minute , and tried to relate it to my personal experience ….
When some people start asking me “whereeeeeeee have you been girl??!!” or “Loooonggg time no seeeeee!!,” I usually answer “I’ve been busy with yada yada yada” which is very true, but not the whole truth
Beside the huge load of daily work that we all have, I have noted that, in my case, when I disappear from certain places, gatherings, etc, or just cut down on my social contact with certain people, it can be because in that period of my life I am a lot concerned/thinking about/trying for sth that comes from some aspect of my personality or personal life that I don’t share with them (share in both senses: don’t have in common, and don’t feel comfortable to discuss)
